JUNE  2021

After nine years of leading the Shabbatt and Bar and Bat Mitzvah chazzanut at Congregation Shir Libeynu, Paula’s last service was on June 12 at 7:30 pm; a Havdalah for Pride. Then, on July 11th Paula sang her farewell in “Broadway To The Bimah”.

JULY 2020

Paula was going to  sing her way across 4, 466  Canadian kilometres and back, as Via Rial’s Artist-On-Board,  scheduled to leave Toronto on June 28, but Covid 19 had other plans. This programme has yet to be revived. Stay tuned!

SINGING WITH PARKINSON’S continues where the PARKINSON’S CHOIR left off. Paula is the Artistic Director now, and SwP is a Registered Charity under  Canadian Tax Law and in happy partnership with the CANADIAN OPERA COMPANY and RYERSON UNIVERSITY. Paula  leads singing groups with the mentally ill and those with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.

 

Past

Paula presented JUDAS STAR SUPERSONG at the Toronto Fringe Festival, July 4 to July 14. One woman, 17 characters, 50 minutes. https://fringetoronto.com/festivals/fringe/event/judas-star-supersong.  We received a FIVE NNNNN review from NOWMagazine!  “Wolfson’s performance is divine” and we sold out to standing ovations.

Thank-you Halifax! We had a grand time with “Supersong” at the Stages Festival June 3 – 8 2019.

Paula joins up with Chris Dunn to sing at the Toronto Garlic Festival, September 17th at 2:15 pm. Garlic ice cream! Contests, speakers, crafts even garlic beer! http://www.torontogarlicfestival.ca/

In April of 2016 Paula headed to the National Arts Centre in Ottawa for another run of “Les Belles Soeurs”, the wildly successful English musical version that she has been a part of since it was first created in 2011. It was also  presented at the Charlottetown Festival in September, 2016.  The Ottawa presentation won the Capital Critics Award for Best Profession Production.
